Boon Tong Kee is a famous restaurant chain in Singapore that started out in 1979 as a small stall in Chinatown. Mr. Thian Boon Hua started out by serving Cantonese chicken rice.
His silky white sauce chicken rice and focus on good service made him popular. In 1983, he opened the first Boon Tong Kee restaurant on Balestier Road.
The business grew quickly, and soon there were locations on MacPherson Road, Whampoa West, River Valley Road, Cheong Chin Nam Road, and East Coast Road. In 1999, the restaurant chain also added “Zi Char” (home-style cooked food) and eateries to its business.
Boon Tong Kee is known for its delicious food and friendly staff. Both industry leaders and customers have given the restaurant high marks and given it a lot of praise.
